Notarization Requirements
To keep your signing appointment smooth, efficient, and legally valid, please review the requirements below before we meet. A little preparation helps us avoid delays, rescheduling, or rejected documents.
All Signers Must Be Present
All signers for the documents must be present at the same time. The state of Georgia does not offer remote or online notarization, so every signature must be witnessed in person at the scheduled appointment.
Two Valid, Unexpired Government-Issued IDs
Each signer is required to present two (2) valid, unexpired, government-issued identification cards. Acceptable examples include:
- Driver’s License
- State-Issued ID Card
- Passport
- Military ID
Names Must Match Exactly
The name on your identification must match the name printed on the document being notarized. If your ID reflects a maiden name, married name, or nickname that differs from the document, please bring supporting documentation (such as a marriage certificate or court order) so we can resolve the discrepancy before the appointment.
Review Before We Meet
Please review your identification and document names before the appointment. Catching a mismatch early helps avoid delays, additional travel fees, or the need to reschedule. If you are unsure whether your ID is acceptable, send me a quick photo or description ahead of time and I will confirm.
