Have Your Identification Ready
Each signer should have a current, government-issued photo ID available at the appointment, such as a driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport, or other acceptable identification. Additional identification may be requested when needed.
Make Sure the Signer Is Present
The person whose signature is being notarized must personally appear before the notary for the required notarial act.
Bring the Document You Need Notarized
Please have your document available and ready for the appointment. Unless you have been instructed otherwise, wait to sign the document until your appointment.
Check Names & Document Details
Review the names and information on your document before the appointment. If the name on your identification differs from the name appearing on the document, contact us before the appointment so we can discuss the identification requirements.
Confirm Witness Requirements in Advance
Some documents may require witnesses in addition to notarization. Please confirm any witness requirements before your appointment. If you need assistance arranging witnesses, let us know when scheduling.
